Introduction:
Last weekend, on May 17th, we celebrated our foundation’s inspiration on her birthday by volunteering at Second Harvest Food Bank in Nashville. We gathered to honor her memory in a way we knew would make her proud, continuing the legacy of compassion and service she lived by.
The Visit & Cause:
At Second Harvest, we joined a team of volunteers dedicated to fighting food insecurity across Tennessee. Together, we packed 420 boxes, which will provide 2,940 meals for children in our community this summer. Hunger is a silent crisis affecting thousands across Tennessee. Organizations like Second Harvest are essential in meeting this need. We were intrigued by how much effort and coordination goes into every meal distributed. Being able to contribute, even in a small way, reminded us of the power of collective action and community service. As we left Second Harvest, tired but fulfilled, we reflected on how much good can be done when people come together in service. We look forward to continuing this journey of giving and invite you to walk alongside us in honoring Consuelo’s legacy through acts of kindness.

We encourage everyone to find local opportunities to volunteer, whether with food banks, shelters, or youth programs. You don’t need a special occasion to give, just a willing heart and open hands. Visit https://www.secondharvestmidtn.org/ to learn more about Second Harvest.
